Bio

My background for painting fish and water scenery developed out of my childhood adventures fishing in Montana with my family and experiencing the beauty of the outdoors. As a teenager I experimented with many different media and when I arrived at college I had the opportunity to experience more formalized training in fine art..

My passion for painting has developed over the past 15 years. In 2000 I began entering my work in various shows and competitions. These include: The Wyoming Conservation Stamp, Pennsylvania Trout Stamp, Delaware Trout Stamp, Arts for the Parks (Wyoming)and numerous sportsman shows in Oregon, Washington and Montana. I recently was juried into a book called "Artists of the West" This is an amazing collection of Artists and their work.

Living in Oregon has many benefits for me and my family with the mountains and coast close by for new adventures. I also teach oil painting at my studio. For more information on lessons you can reach me through my contact information.
